World Missions

Some of the last words of Jesus Christ were, "...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8)." The First Baptist Church of South Brevard prayerfully and financially supports 70 missionaries and church planters in the United States and around the world. How to pray for world missions:

Pray for souls - A missionary's heart is to reach the souls of those around him.
Pray for their needs - Ask God to meet their physical and spiritual needs.
Pray for health and safety - Some of our missionaries are in closed countries and could be persecuted for preaching the gospel. Pray that God will use them and keep them safe.
Pray for their spiritual life - Missionaries can many times feel like they are out "on an island." Pray for them that they would maintain their spiritual walk and continue to endure the spiritual attack they are constantly under.
Pray for yourself - Ask God what He would have you do for the cause of world wide missions and be ready to obey when He says to give and to go.
