"God loves you, and so does this preacher." If you're here for any length of time, you'll understand that these aren't just words, but a summary of our pastor's purpose and life. He loves God and loves the people that he ministers to at the First Baptist Church of South Brevard.
Pastor Rhodes was born and raised in Melbourne, and was saved through the ministry of Pastor Dan Wade, the founding pastor of the First Baptist Church of South Brevard. After his salvation and his commitment with the United States Navy, Pastor attended and graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in Hammond, Indiana. He then went on to work with Dr. R. B. Ouellette in Saginaw, Michigan, as their Youth Pastor. He spent eight years there before accepting the call to be the pastor of the First Baptist Church of South Brevard.
He and his wife, Janna Rhodes have six children and are blessed with several grandchildren. We are thankful for them and for their ministry of love to us at the First Baptist Church of South Brevard.
