Serving at First Baptist.
We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. This is our process for discipleship. Out of this gospel-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church.
One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities.
Buildings and Grounds
Gatherings:
The buildings and facilities are regularly cleaned, sanitized and maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers. There is always a great need for more volunteers to help out. Even volunteering for just a couple of hours each month can make a big difference on our campus.
Other Areas of Service:
Have a green thumb? Great! With ten acres of land, sports fields and various trees, shrubs and decorative islands, our campus is always in need of those wishing to work outside in the beautiful Florida sun.
First Baptist Kids
Volunteers in our children's ministry help disciple our Kindergarten - 5th graders during weekend worship services through singing, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word with the children. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and sing or lead in the various children worship choirs. In addition to this vital area, we are always in need of more individuals who are willing to help us staff our childcare and nursery facilities for younger toddlers and babies.

StudentLife Ministries
Sunday Gatherings:
Those serving in our StudentLife Ministry on Sundays get the opportunity to build and foster relationships with students, ministering them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship.
Other Gatherings and Activities:
StudentLife Ministry also meets together at various times for games, community, teaching and bible discussions. These activities are announced in advance and will usually consist of an evening playing games and hearing a message, specially crafted for middle and high school students.

Sunday Gatherings:
Our Sunday morning gatherings are the beginning for most people at First Baptist. We need people who can serve as set-up and greeters, as well as members of the worship and tech teams.
Connection Groups:
Because our Connection Groups are so central to the life here at First Baptist, we are always in need of more people to host, lead and co-lead a group.
Generosity
Donating your time is not the only way to serve at First Baptist. There are recurring costs to operating and staffing our ministry, as well as helping us do work throughout our community and the world. We believe that God calls us to give, and to give generously. Discipleship
As Jesus left this world, his parting words to his disciples were: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:" We challenge you to be willing to serve and make disciples with us.
